Common questions
Answers to common questions about data, projects, monitoring, and taking your work out of Mineflow.
Where can I see my credits and usage?
Billing → Overview shows your plan and available balance. The Usage tab shows search attempts and completed credit charges for the selected month. Buying credits and receiving monthly credits do not count as usage. See Billing and credits for search costs, processing, payments and credit returns.
Can I use my own files alongside public data?
Yes. Upload your files, wait for processing, and choose the appropriate Search Scope when searching. Where a combined scope is available, you can compare your data with Mineflow's public collection. Uploading a private file does not make it public.
See Upload data and Data privacy and security.
Does Mineflow include every record from each public source?
Coverage varies by source, region, publication date, and data type. Collection and processing also take time. Inspect the source and original document when checking a result; the presence of a source in a filter does not mean every record it publishes is available in Mineflow.
The public data sources guide explains the source badges and filters.
What is the difference between tracking a project and creating an alert?
Tracking keeps a public project accessible from your Projects page. An alert stores conditions for updates, such as a company, an area, or an assay threshold. Use an alert when you want to be notified about matching new information.
Should I create a watchlist or an area alert?
A watchlist follows the exact titles you add. An area alert can follow specified tenement activity across a saved geographic area, including future titles that were not in your initial selection. Choose according to whether you want to follow particular titles or activity in an area.
Do I need a paid MTO search to use a watchlist?
No. Public title monitoring and paid WA MTO searches are separate. A paid MTO check is an optional official search for eligible Western Australian titles. Review the live quote before ordering or enabling a schedule.
Each executed paid check is chargeable even when it finds no changes. The watchlist owner is billed, including when an editor initiates the check. See Paid WA MTO searches.
Can colleagues use my watchlist?
The owner can add eligible teammates as viewers or editors. Access must be granted to the watchlist explicitly, and members need the relevant tenement access. See Watchlist sharing.
Alerts and watchlists require Professional, Enterprise or a Monitoring add-on for a team on either plan. Buying additional search credits does not unlock monitoring. See Monitoring access.
Can Mineflow put a map from a PDF into geographic context?
Yes, for supported maps with sufficient geographic evidence. Mineflow can extract the map and georeference it so you can compare it with other layers. Scan quality, projection information, and the original map's scale affect the result. See Georeferencing.
Can I export to Leapfrog or Micromine?
Yes, for supported drill and surface data through the corresponding export packages. Check coordinates and units when importing them.
Native Leapfrog and Micromine export is currently unavailable when a prediction output is selected. Completed predictions can be included with the supported standard export options; check the files and coordinates before using them elsewhere. See Leapfrog and Micromine and Export predictions.
Where do I get help with access or an unexpected result?
Start with Troubleshooting, or email ryan@mineflow.ai. Include the page link and the specific file, layer, watchlist, or run you want us to investigate.
