Projects and tracking
Keep a project's files, saved searches, 3D work, and interpretations together, and follow public projects of interest.
Choose a personal or public project
Open My Data → Projects. This is your working list of personal projects and public projects you have added or tracked.

| Public project | Keep a collected exploration project close at hand and review its public files, data, and related work. |
Create a personal project
- Open Projects and select New Project.
- Give it a name you will recognize and complete the location or other details requested.
- Open the project and use Upload Files to add source material directly to it. You can also move existing files into a project from the file organization controls.
- Check the Files tab after processing to confirm the intended files are included.
Upload related tables, reports, and map companion files together. Public project files are managed as part of the public collection; use a personal project for your own uploads.
Use the project workspace

| Overview | Location, data summaries, and the project's available exploration context. |
| Searches | Saved list and map searches associated with the project. |
| Modeling | Associated 3D scenes, interpolations, and available block-model work. |
| Files | Source reports, tables, maps, and other files belonging to the project. |
Data counts reflect the information currently associated with the project. If you expected a file or search here, check its project association before starting the work again.
Add a search to a project
- Open the saved list or map search you want to keep.
- Open Search Result Settings.
- Under Add this search to a project, choose the destination and select Add.
- Open the project's Searches tab to find it again.
Some searches are associated automatically when a project appears in the results. Adding the search yourself is useful when the relationship is part of your interpretation.
Follow a public project
Open a public project from Search or a company publication and add it to your projects using the project controls. Its workspace links back to public source material and related searches. Use the tracking control to keep or remove it from your working list.
